An annual event since 1977
In 1977 John Henry Shaddox organized the first 100-mile wagon train journey from his home town
of Harrison, AR to Springdale, AR to promote the Rodeo of the Ozarks, celebrating the Fourth of July
This has since turned into an annual event organized by John Henry's son-in-laws Jimmy & George Parker.
The ride attacts teamsters and horseback riders of all ages and experience from far around.

Participants must bring everything they need for the ride;
the JHS Wagon Train DOES NOT provide equine, wagons, tack, gear, etc.  

There will be a catering wagon for participants and
water for the horses at every lunch break and camp site.

All equine must have original proof of a negative 12-month coggins - no photo copies.
Out-of-state equine must have health papers from a vet.
